A musical extravaganza that melted the hearts of many. The result - raised Rs 2,50,000 through a combined effort with Mr Rajaram,Mr Sriraman and the support of all our existing donors who did not hesitate to buy tickets, corporates like Ashok Leyland who took bulk tickets and volunteers like Ms Prema Sankar and Mr Vigneshsunder who sold tickets for us.
We were very excited when Mr Rajaram called on us to discuss the musical concert. He offered us 100 tickets giving us the liberty to put a price on these tickets.
Singing the melodies of 80s and 90s – Mr Rajaram and his team along with Airtel Super Singer famous Sharath and his mother Jaya kept the audience spell bound in the palms of their hands. Simultaneously flashing the video of the songs on a LED screen was an additional bonus. When Sharath sang, “Maadi mele maadi katti” and the video being flashed on the screen took us to the 1964 the best “Kaadhalika Neram Illai.” From 6.30 in the evening to 9.30 – it was a soul soothing experience.
We were surrounded by smiling faces everywhere, which is exactly what we were hoping for.
It was a new learning experience as this was the first time that we were raising funds through ticket sales.
We are preparing ourselves for the next one coming up on 9th June 2018 at Museum Theatre starting at 6.30 pm
